Our At-Home Facial Derma Roller is here to rejuvenate your skin! It can help build collagen, plump fine lines, as well as improve the appearance of pigmentation, pores and acne scarring. This facial device is comprised of 540 titanium and stainless steel needles at 0.3mm depth, which will improve the tone and texture of your skin. When gently rolling the device over the skin you will initiate a micro trauma in the superficial layers of the skin which results in inflammation, triggering the skin's natural repair process, and in addition improves the absorption and efficacy of your corrective skin care. Suitable for all skin types, except those with acne or damaged skin.
Disinfect your derma roller by letting it soak in 70% isopropyl alcohol for 5 to 10 minutes. Then rinse off with warm water or wait until the alcohol evaporates.
Throughly cleanse your skin and pat dry.
After you roll in the same place 6 to 8 times, adjust the derma roller slightly, and repeat. Do this until you’ve covered the entire section of skin you’re treating.
After rolling in one direction, it’s time to go back over the area you just rolled and repeat the process in the perpendicular direction. For example, say you finished rolling across your forehead vertically, now would be the time to go back and repeat that entire process horizontally. Note: Before changing direction of your roll, ensure you lift the device off the skin and then move to the next section.
After you’re done micro-needling, rinse your face with water only.
Clean your derma roller with dishwasher soap. Create a soapy water mix in a plastic container, then swish around the roller vigorously, making sure the roller doesn’t hit the sides. The reason we use detergents like dish soap directly after rolling is because alcohol doesn’t dissolve the proteins found in skin and blood.
Disinfect your derma roller again by letting it soak in the 70 percent isopropyl alcohol for 5-10 minutes. Put it back in its case and store away.
Follow up derma rolling with a basic skin care routine. We recommend to use hydrating products such as a gentle hyaluronic acid or soothing moisturiser. For optimal hydration, you could do a sheet mask afterwards. Avoid chemical exfoliants or active ingredients like benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, retinoids, etc as this can irritate the skin.
Micro needling is best performed 2-3 times per week at nighttime before bedtime to allow the skin to heal.
Make sure your skin is completely recovered before starting another session. We recommend to wait about 2-3 days before your next session.
Do not use on any acne or pimples as it will spread the bacteria of the acne/pimple.
The roller must be replaced after 15 uses to ensure the needles remain sharp and precise.
After rolling, the skin may:
be red for a couple hours, sometimes less
feel like a sunburn
swell initially (very minor)
feel like your face is pulsing and the blood is circulating
potentially start peeling, depending on your skin type. If this does occur do not pick at it. It will naturally fall off.
